monday, we took a river cruise tour on the thames all the way up to greenwich, where the greenwich meridian line is.

we climbed up a hill to get to the observatory

beautiful skies… couldn’t stop taking pictures of it.
well this was the day where dan expressed his (imaginary?) vengeance against pillows.
tuesday, we headed off to look for the arsenal bear that lx asked me to buy, and found that the arsenal shop has closed down. so we took a bus and set off for the arsenal emirates stadium. no pictures that day because we spent quite a bit of time looking for the arsenal shop, it was the first (or was it second?) day of my period and i was really tired.
went to the library after that to borrow some dvds and spent the rest of the day watching dvds. we decided to take it slow since it would be my last day in london.
the flight to helsinki was uneventful, and it was only after i got on the plane that i realized that the lady didn’t stamp on my passport when i left london. in fact, she didn’t even flip the pages to see when i had entered the country (in other words, i could have been an overstayer and she wouldn’t have known), but merely checked that the names on my ticket and passport matched. apparently they don’t stamp your passport when you leave the country, because i have no other out-going stamps from the UK. o.O
at helsinki, it was raining a little.
the flight from helsinki to seoul would take 8 hours, and i had pretty much finished watching all the shows that i wanted to watch on the seoul-helsinki leg, so i was quite trigger-happy on this flight.

taking off
we flew into clearer skies pretty quickly.
hello, moon
i watched mrs doubtfire because i ran out of shows to watch.
sunrise
and i think i sort of knew that it was time for me to leave korea when the plane touched down and i didn’t exactly feel glad to be back, unlike all the other times.
that, plus the joy and excitement that overcame me simply at the thought of going to new zealand (i hadn’t applied for the visa yet).
i never thought i’d say this, but i can’t wait to get out.
