some afterthoughts

so i spent a few hours last night tinkering with my new toy, dragging and dropping applications, application preferences and documents over the wireless network from my powerbook and customizing the interface (my dock goes on the bottom left of the screen, and my desktop icons have to be small, with their labels and information displayed by its side).
and i’m still revelling in the copious hdd space — all 250GB of it; there’s this indescribable sense of liberation, especially as i was running out of space on my 40GB hdd (i have about 7GB left). and to think my computer was one of the higher-end models 5 years ago! hurhur. now i can leave a few of my favourite movies on my HDD, so that i can watch them when i go on my travels.
so what becomes of my powerbook now? err, i don’t know… use it for extra storage? though admittedly, 40GB is not much and um, for an “external storage device” i’d have to say that “huge” would be an understatement.
it’s the first big-ticket item (by my standards anyway) that i bought with my own money. feels great!
and as i was sorting out my stuff, i found more pooch and percy goodness (yes everytime pooch and percy appears on sinfest.net i download them onto my comp! it’s a pity they don’t feature that often though):

gotta love the last panel! heh heh. pooch and percy never fail to bring a smile to my face. somehow they remind me of a bickering, loving old couple.
