    oh man, i love love dead poets society. i wish i had a teacher like john keating (played by robin williams), it must be so inspiring to have a teacher like him.

    it’s such a pity about neil’s death though… and his father… his father didn’t realize that he had a role to play in neil’s suicide, that when he took away neil’s dream of becoming an actor, he took away his life, literally.

    sometimes we just don’t realize how the things we say or do can affect another, trivial as it may seem to us. the problem is that it is impossible to know exactly what the other party is thinking; we can rely on empathy but sometimes our radars may be a little off.

    am off to KL for one day this saturday to meet hena, who will be there on a business trip! :D

    have been spending most of my time these few days watching 그들이 사는 세상 (the world they live in) and 내 생애 마지막 스캔들 (last scandal of my life).

    about the world they live in: when i was back in sg in september, i remember reading an article in the new paper while i was at the dentist’s about song hye-gyo and hyun bin filming in singapore. turns out that this was the drama that they were filming. these south koreans certainly work fast–barely 2 months later and the drama is already airing.

    about last scandal: starring the late choi jin-sil who took her life only recently, i found this drama quite entertaining, kind of like an ajumma (auntie) version of full house with a less arrogant male protag. kekeke.
